Once upon a time, Queen Bat thought she wanted to be a belly dancer. Luckily, she came to her senses.

Early in her career, she met Morocco from New York, a brilliant and extremely knowledgeable dancer and person. Rocky and Queen Bat still keep in touch although we meet far too seldom. Here is Queen Bat with Therese Wallin, Kay Artle and Morocco in circa 1991.

Then, she taught and performed oriental and egyptian style dance, and was a founding member of the dance troupe as-Sayf. This is a cane dance, performed at the late "Studion" in Stockholm.

One of Queen Bat's rare stage solos...

Here she is performing a Mileya at the Kismet festival in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1996.

At the same festival, she met Fat Chance Belly Dance, pioneers in the Americal Tribal Belly Dance style...

Tribal dance is nowadays the prefered dance form of Queen Bat, since she started performing and teaching the style in 1999. Queen Bat is a founding member of the dance troupe Tribal Empire. The style is mostly ATS, as founded by Carolena Nericcio, her teacher and mentor, although she does mix in some other elements on occasion.
